Benign essential blepharospasm (BEB) is a movement disorder or โdystoniaโ. Other dystonias include Parkinsonโs disease and writerโs cramp. People with BEB have frequent, uncontrollable blinking and squeezing of the eyes. Sometimes their eyes will snap shut and they have difficulty opening them again. Almost all BEB sufferers have light sensitivity.
