Migraine attacks? Sensitive to light? Just need a dark, quite dark room? The majority of migraineurs are light sensitive. Axon Optics develops eyewear that is shown to block the wavelengths of light that have been implicated in triggering migraine. Our proprietary eyewear (i.e. migraine glasses or light sensitivity glasses) is available for free to Veterans through any Veterans Administration nationwide.

My husband is a retired veteran and I have suffered from chronic migraine and severe light sensitivity for yrs. I always have my sunglasses on from the time I get out of bed until bedtime that night.
My 15 yr old son also has migraines often especially now that school is back in and he is in the bright lights inside the school all day. MWR are both under constant care of neurologists.
Do you offer a military discount for a veterans family members?
Hi Kris,
I’ve sent you an email response from [email protected]. Thanks!
I too have the same question. Will you support the veteran’s spouse?
I would like to know the answer to this question as well as I am the spouse of a Veteran and current Law Enforcement Officer. I spend my days in the dark!
I too am a veteran’s wife who I’m struggling with horrible migraines can I get the discount?
Right now everything is 25% off with free shipping. Please email [email protected] for other discount options.
I am a veteran that has suffered from migraines from an injury in Iraq back in 2003. I desperately need these, but the link (Download VA Instructions) is not working. My migraines are service connected, so I’m hoping that there will be no problem getting them to try. Can you please email the instructions so can request a pair? Thanks and have a great day.
Hi Peter! I’m sorry to hear that the link isn’t working for you. Can you provide your email address? You can also email me if that is easier: [email protected]
I’m a retired Veteran with a 90% VA rating. 1-4 Migraines a week. Tried everything to no relief. Please help.
We can get you a pair of glasses from our website at a discount. You can also try approaching your VA with the information above. The VA can contact me at [email protected] if they need any assistance getting set up.
Can these glasses have a prescription in the lens?
Yes, they sure can! Prescription or non-prescription.
What if you’ve already used your eyeglass benefit for the year?
I suffer from chronic severe migraines from a TBI. The only polarized UV glasses I found were at Walmart and the company that made them doesn’t exist anymore. I can use these but with darker lenses and able to work at night.
I am in San Jose, California. I hope you can help this Veteran that has these migraines al ost daily.
You may want to complete this veteran form: http://www.axonoptics.com/va-form/
Then you will receive a lengthy email about how Axon is a sam.gov vendor for the VA and how to obtain the benefit of our therapeutic lenses.
I recommend trying our outdoor tint first to determine if polarized is really necessary. Feel free to email [email protected] for more information.
What if my husband is light sensitive and gets dizzy and loses his balance but no migraines.
Light sensitivity is not limited to migraines. If symptoms are related to light sensitivity, photophobia, our product may be able to reduce his symptoms. All of our non prescription frames have a 30 day return policy if they are not effective.
Do you still provide this service for veterans?
Yes! The links that you need can be found on this page:
